For almost 9 years, MASCOT has had its own production in Asia. This also means that we’ve started to celebrate 10 years of service by some of our employees in Vietnam and Laos, as a number of them were employed several months prior to the opening of the factories. Today it is exactly 10 years since our Production Manager in Laos, Kim Seon Ja, started at MASCOT and it was celebrated appropriately.
The 600 employees in Laos were all ready to celebrate Kim, and in her honour, they lined up for a group photo to give her a special memory of the day. It is always a big day when one of our colleagues celebrate their anniversary – a sentiment shared by MASCOT’s Managing Director Michael Grosbøl: »I am always happy every time we celebrate an employee’s anniversary. It indicates that MASCOT is a workplace with a good atmosphere and many professional challenges, which means employees want to stay. It is also important for the business that we have long-term employments that ensure continuity in knowledge and competences, and that the special MASCOT culture has strong culture bearers«.
Kim has extensive knowledge as a Production Manager around the world, and for the last 10 years she has been employed at MASCOT; first in Vietnam and more recently in Laos. She was overwhelmed by the beautiful gesture that her colleagues gave to her earlier today, and about her work she explains: »Through the years, my work at MASCOT has been very interesting. I really enjoy being here. It is important for me that the managers always understand and support me. In addition, I feel privileged because I am a part of a team with all my MASCOT colleagues, where we all work very well together. It feels like being a part of a big family, and that means a lot to me«, says Kim, Production Manager at MASCOT Laos.
